Having always been "big dog" people, getting a small dog was going to be quite a difference for us. Ghent made that transition easy as he thinks he is one of the big dogs and refuses to be told any differently. "Ghent" (Tenterra Golden Boy) by Ch Jaeva Gold Auric and Tenterra California Girl came to us from Nan Anderson in TN. Ghent has already brought so much excitement and joy into our lives and the lives of his Flat Coat buddies. He exemplifies the true terrier nature. His hunting instinct is incredible. Right now he protects the yard from any dangerous birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. He will spend hours "on watch" making sure no quarry enters his yard. Not to be outdone by his bigger buddies, he is picking up some retrieving habits from the Flat Coats. (We think he will make the perfect pick up dog at hunt tests...LOL)
Ghent will start his serious show carrier in the late summer/fall of 09. With his attitude, movement, and looks...we are expecting great things from this little dog.
